He then goes on to say:
This is the promise of God, therefore it will be fulfilled
and:
I wish for a bright future for all human beings and the dawn of the liberation of and freedom for all humans, and the rule of love and affection all around the world, as well as the elimination of oppression, hatred, and violence, a wish which I expect will be realized in the near future
I think he believes he is the Mahdi. One of the IRanian delegation said today that during his speech his head was surrounded by light - a clear reference to how the Mahdi will appear to us.
If any of this srikes a cord of uneasiness in readers, they should read up about the Islamic End of Day, the Mahdi and Shiism. This may appear to mumbo jumbo to us but these guys believe it and are on the road to having the means of making it happen.
